The 23rd Spanish Individual Veterans Championship was played in Roquetas de Mar (Almería) from 2 to 10 October, in two sections, over-50 and over-65, over nine rounds of Swiss system.
Three Club d'Escacs Sant Cugat players took part:
- Alfons Macaya, 7th of 67 players in the over-65 section, with 6 points out of 9.
- Ricard Brusi, 12th in the same section, with 5.5 points.
- Josep Maria Lerch, 14th of 76 players in the over-50 section, with 6 points.
